Position Overview

The Human Resource Generalist will primarily focus on recruiting and retention for Advocate openings. This position will manage the full recruiting cycle in order to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within multiple practices. This position has the opportunity to develop and implement initiatives for recruiting talent in a multi-specialty organization, including sourcing and evaluating candidates, obtaining and conducting references, and facilitating a positive candidate experience while also creating and implementing employment marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers. 

Performance Objectives

  • Develop and implement initiatives for recruiting talent in a multi-specialty organization, including sourcing and evaluating candidates, obtaining and conducting references, and facilitating a positive candidate experience
  • Work with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria
  • Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing needs
  • Regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process
  • Work closely with hiring managers with their staffing needs and maximize effectiveness of the recruiting process
  • Manage communication with candidates
  • Answers telephone, conduct screens calls, makes referrals, and gives and receives information regarding candidates
  • Receives, greets and organizes interviewees for their interview
  • Maintains up-to-date Job descriptions for all departments
  • Assist Human Resource Director with appropriate uses of title and structure during the recruiting process
  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates
  • Works with internal and external sources to have a pipeline for quick hires;
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, social media, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy
  • Works with Human Resources Generalist to transition new hire into the on-boarding phase
  • Research job market for competitiveness and average rates
  • Assist with other projections and task within the HR department

Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; 3 years of Human Resource or related experience; Organizational and planning skills; Communication skills; Information gathering and information monitoring skills; Problem analysis and problem-solving skills; Judgment and decision-making ability; Confidential; Attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to be flexible;
