Advocate employees are paid biweekly. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5pm. We are closed for the 8 holidays! We offer affordable medical Insurance with 2 different plan options! Credentialing Manager

The Credentialing Manager oversees the Credentialing Team and is responsible for the overall organization of the credentialing processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff by assigning workload, answering questions, work with supervisor on reviews
  • Manage supervisor and provide support on needs/issues
  • Manage outsource staff on progress, accuracy, and workload
  • Attend internal staff start-up meetings to provide feedback regarding new clients
  • Assure initial credentialing for start-up clients is completed efficiently and accurately ahead of client's anticipated start date
  • Conduct staff meetings twice a week to follow-up with the team on any issues they are seeing as well as providing support needed
  • Monitor held claims in AIMs
  • Work with AR to research credentialing related denials
  • Work with Data Processing to research credentialing related rejections
  • Work with Data Processing on any questions regarding releases
  • Work with Client Management to provide support on client concerns and updates
  • Support staff when updating/communicating with clients who might need additional reassurance with Advocate
  • Meet with Operations team to discuss department issues/needs

Education: High School degree, GED or foreign equivalent required

Experience: 3+ years management experience, 4+ years credentialing experience

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and timely manner with all staff members
  • Ability to follow through to completion on all assignments
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Products
  • Types 30-40 Words Per Minute
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
