Advocate employees are paid biweekly. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5pm. We are closed for the 8 holidays! We offer affordable medical Insurance with 2 different plan options! Credentialing Supervisor

The Credentialing Supervisor reports to the Credentialing Manager.


The Credentialing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Credentialing staff and contributes to the development of processes and procedures.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff by answering questions, approving time off requests, work with manager on reviews
  • Send Medicare Revalidation reminders for all providers currently due
  • Monitor held claims in AIMs/Work release emails for held claims
  • Conduct client calls to provide status updates on clients
  • Work with AR to research credentialing related denials
  • Work with Data Processing to research credentialing related rejections
  • Work with Data Processing on any questions regarding releases
  • Responsible for completing Medicare credentialing items
  • Work with Client Management to provide support on client concerns and updates
  • Credential for assigned clients as well as provide support needed for other clients
  • Meet staff for one-on-one to touch base on performance/feedback/concerns
  • Work with Payments for requested EFT enrollments/updates


Education:  High school degree, GED or foreign equivalent required


Experience:  5+ years management experience, 5+ years credentialing experience


Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and timely manner with all staff members
  • Ability to follow through to completion on all assignments
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Products
  • Types 30-40 Words Per Minute
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
