Advocate employees are paid biweekly. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5pm. We are closed for the 8 holidays! We offer affordable medical Insurance with 2 different plan options! Advocate also offers vision, dental, Voluntary life, and AD&D. The company provides short-term disability, long-term disability, HSA contribution and $20,000 of Life Insurance free! We have a 401K plan with a 1-year waiting period and a 4% match.


Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Counsels employees regarding work problems;
  • Prepares newsletter data and other reports to communicate information to employees
  • Properly address concerns and comments from employees;
  • Manage and assist with the performance review process and documentation;
  • Attends conferences and meetings, as an employee-relation liaison, to facilitate communication between parties
  • Prepares reports and enters and updates medical, insurance, retirement, and other personnel forms and records, using a computer
  • Audits benefit accounts and examine records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Arranges employee wellness activities such as wellness clinics and flu shots;
  • Assist with the planning of company events such as Employee Appreciation Day and other monthly appreciation events.
  • Manage and track employee of the month.
  • Develop positive employee relations across the organization
  • Advise, guide and support leadership level staff in the areas of documentation, disciplinary action, policy administration, and improving employee morale
  • Investigate employee misconduct and recommend appropriate action
  • Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the workplace;
  • Serve as a corporate liaison to assist company-wide initiatives such as: wellness, retention, engagement, and culture
  • Assist with monthly activities, team building, and community involvement in assigned location(s)
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations
  • Assist with investigating and gathering documentation for EEO complaints as needed
  • Remain current on federal, state and local personnel laws and act proactively to recommend solutions to executive management regarding any violations and ensure updates to company HR policies
  • Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction and ensure a positive working environment
  • Use sound judgment around issues that may have adverse effects on the business from an employee relations perspective
  • Prepare reports for management as needed
  • Conduct presentations to management staff as needed
  • Ensure clear understanding of payroll processing procedures as backup.
